#UnreadyTour Wednesday May 13
Onward to Birmingham! Another cool southern town. Uneventful van ride from Nashville. I (Josh) slept most of the way. Our first order of business upon arrival was to stuff our faces at Chik-Fil-A. There is only one (1) Chik-Fil-A in the city of Chicago, so when I spotted one right next to our first show in Birmingham there was no debate.
With some time to kill, we headed to Railroad Park and hung out. Our "gig" at Renaissance records was pretty poorly attended, but the enthusiasm of the owner's wife and the guy who wandered down from his apartment upstairs more than made up for the lack of people.
After the record store it was off to a house show. Patrick and his friends were a great audience and a fantastic hang after we played. We drank some beers and crashed on their couches, thus beginning the couch-surfing phase of our little tour. No more cushy hotel rooms. Commence vagabonding!
BELOW ARE TWO CLIPS FROM A LITTLE GAME I'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH LUKE. IT'S CALLED 'VIDEO FAKEOUT.' I PRETEND TO BE TAKING A PICTURE OF HIM BUT REALLY START RECORDING VIDEO. PRETTY PRICELESS. MORE TO COME...
