Danny boy came down from Wisconsin last week and we spent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday rehearsing for the gig, writing some tunes for the new record (release date TBA ), and buying hideous clothes in an effort to look cool for our photo shoot Friday morning.
Dan bought another pair of brown shoes that looked exactly like the brown shoes he had on at the time and a pre-owned suit jacket that used to belong to a Mexican night club owner. And another blue collared shirt, I think.
I bought nothing, because I'm a cheapskate.
Luke wasn't with us because he had important things going on.
Did the shoot. Lookout, cover of GQ....
The Tonic Room show went well. Great to hear our friend Ness live with his full band. Good to see a bunch of people out.
Next Chicago show is Friday, Nov. 21st at the Gallery Cabaret in Bucktown. This is one of our favorite venues in town- a great little funky place to hang out, see live music, and get weird. If you are reading this and it isn't Nov. 21st yet, make plans to come hang out and drink Malort with us as we prepare to celebrate Turkey day and brace ourselves for the sub-zero bitch slap that is the Chicago winter.
Check in soon.
